A group of university students discovered one of the oldest stars in the entire universe while looking through space data for a class project! This ancient star is made almost entirely of hydrogen and helium [the simplest building blocks of stars], which means it formed way back near the very beginning of the universe, billions of years ago. Imagine finding a cosmic time capsule from when the universe was brand new!
