Seventy-four thousand years ago, a supervolcano [a volcano so powerful it changes the whole planet] called Toba exploded so hard it made the Earth dark and freezing cold for years. Scientists thought humans would die out, but archaeologists [people who study ancient history] found amazing evidence that early humans were super tough — they invented new tools, found new ways to survive, and kept going! Our ancestors proved that humans are way more resilient [able to bounce back from hard times] than anyone expected.
