These 5,000-Year-Old Mummy Microbes Just Woke Up in a Lab!

Scientists have successfully woken up tiny, ancient yeasts that were sleeping on the frozen body of Ötzi the Iceman, a famous mummy from the Stone Age. These super-tough microbes [tiny living things too small to see without a microscope] are thousands of years old and are now actually growing in warm lab dishes! Just imagine what it feels like to wake up after a five-thousand-year nap!
