Giant Cosmic Monsters Are Hiding the Secrets of the Very First Galaxies!

Photo: NASA / Unsplash
Astronomers have found massive, super-bright stars in nearby dwarf galaxies that act like time machines to the beginning of the universe. Because these stars have very little iron, they do not blow away their outer layers with strong stellar winds [super-fast streams of gas] like normal stars do. This means they can grow into giant cosmic monsters, which might finally explain why the oldest galaxies in the universe look so strangely bright. What other secrets do you think these giant stars are hiding from us?
