A major cleanup effort along Buckingham Canal in Tamil Nadu has transformed a polluted waterway into a growing mangrove ecosystem. With 20,000 mangrove seedlings now planted along the 1.8-mile stretch, the restored canal is regaining its natural flow and will help purify water while supporting returning fish populations.
