A team of volunteers and trained personnel have successfully relocated nearly 4,000 sea turtle eggs to safety since March, preventing them from being destroyed by bulldozers. The rescue effort included eggs from 44 leatherback nests and one loggerhead nest, giving these vulnerable hatchlings a chance at life in the ocean.
