A cooperative rescue effort successfully freed a manatee tangled in crab trap lines near St. Simons Island after a local fishing guide spotted the distressed animal and called for help. Wildlife experts from Georgia and Florida worked together over two days to safely untangle the manatee while its calf watched nearby.
